What the
I came home today and my vanity mirror over the sink had fallen in the floor. Nothing broke, thankfully, but my stuff was everywhere because the thing had shelves on it. There were just four little screws holding the thing in. Even I know it needs drywall anchors (thanks, Dad!).
I had a good day today at school. I finished my speech for the welcome back to school assembly thing. I read it to a couple of the English teachers and they were very impressed. haha, I've fooled them into thinking that I can speak Japanese! One of them, Yaguchi-sensei, said my pronunciation is just like a Japanese person. I would love to take that compliment and put it in my pocket, but I know the Japanese tendency to compliment foreigners on any little thing they can do with Japanese, including just saying "nice to meet you" or "thank you."
Anyway, I'll be doing a five-minute speech, half in Japanese, half in English. Hopefully the kids will hear all of my mistakes and not be afraid to make their own while they're speaking to me in English.
I took a few pictures of the school today, but I haven't uploaded them yet. Perhaps I will have time for that tomorrow. Right now, however, I am going downtown to get some printclub photos taken to be used as prizes for the kids. I will have to find a scanner so you guys can see them. They are so cool!
Ok, I'm out of here...
